Welcome to Miskin Manor Country Hotel, Cardiff
Miskin Manor Hotel is a beautiful, historic country hotel within easy reach of Cardiff and Swansea, and just 2 hour’s drive from London.
Privately owned and family run, our Grade II listed, AA four-star country hotel is set in 25 acres of national award-winning grounds and incredibly manicured gardens.
Miskin Manor’s historic setting and beautiful gardens offer a naturally romantic wedding venue and a superb location for family occasions and celebrations. However, our history, prestige and convenient location makes us an ideal venue for conferences and business events, too. We understand that service is as important as location, and our in-house events team ensure your event runs smoothly.
Our 42 boutique bedrooms are individually decorated, enhancing the hotel’s natural charm with elegant décor. However, while the venue and décor are truly memorable, Miskin Manor Hotel is best remembered for its Welsh hospitality and friendly welcome.
Hotel guests and visitors can enjoy afternoon tea in our cosy, open-fire lounge, and our award winning Meisgyn Restaurant serves locally sourced Welsh produce, combining modern British and rustic cuisine.
In addition, Miskin Manor Health Club is on-site and offers modern fitness and leisure facilities. Health Club members and hotel guests enjoy state-of-the-art gym equipment, trained, qualified instructors, an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, along with its very own bistro serving freshly brewed coffee and light lunches.
Surrounded by glorious Welsh countryside, Miskin Manor Hotel is peacefully located yet minutes away from Junction 34 of the M4 near Pontyclun.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Like the Manor itself, Miskin Manor’s award-winning gardens offer 25 acres of majestic botanical history, set in the glorious Welsh countryside.
Our breath-taking gardens have been carefully planned and restored with care and attention to detail, leading to Miskin Manor Hotel winning Wales In Bloom awards for 7 years. There is an abundance of colour all year round, planted with traditional ‘old varieties’ of plants.
The Manor gardens offer a landscape park, a Victorian pleasure ground and a well-preserved Edwardian terraced garden. Features include a yew topiary and ‘King’s beasts’, in Tudor style to compliment Miskin Manor Hotel’s unique heritage. Guests can also explore our ornamental walled kitchen garden with the remains of a canal, a pool and flanking yew hedges. Every inch of the gardens is manicured to perfection and adds to the ambience of the beautiful architecture.
The beauty of Miskin Manor Gardens is constant throughout the year, impressing guests as it has done for centuries. The gardens take on a different kind of appeal and charm each season.
In Spring, the gardens burst into life and are perfectly in full bloom through Summer, whereas in Autumn the ancient trees put on a stunning autumnal show. Winter adds its own charm, when the sweeping lawns are often blanketed with gorgeous drifts of frost or sometimes unspoiled snow.
The Gardens are a destination in their own right. The entrance to Miskin Manor Hotel is via a long, winding driveway to the west of the building. Driving down through the beautiful park grounds, there is a sense of expectation and majesty as you approach through the trees towards the impressive Manor.
